SureLatch® combines a connector with a retractor to adjust the lower anchor strap. Activate the automatic-locking retractor by installing the connector onto the lower anchor bar. After both SureLatch® connectors are attached, push the child restraint down into the seat cushion to tighten installation.Text on the connectors indicates which side to keep upward for proper orientation. It may help to vary the angle of the SureLatch® connector in order to attach it to the lower anchor. In some vehicles, the connector may need to be propped up with one hand while pushing downward on the child restraint to secure it tightly.
The Evenflo SecureKid DLX has a LATCH guide edge on the lower back of the child restraint shell. Position the SureLatch® connectors so they face upward, sitting above the LATCH guide edges, and with the straps untwisted. When installed, be sure the connectors are still positioned above the LATCH guide edges (not along the child restraint shell). If installing a forward-facing car seat, be sure to also add the tether. Push the red button to remove the connector and unlock the retractor.
Inflatable seat belts cannot be used with any of Evenflo’s harnessed child restraints, which includes infant, convertible, or combination seats designed for use in motor vehicles and aircraft. If a seating position has an inflatable seat belt, Evenflo restraints can be installed in this location only using the lower anchors and tether in accordance with all applicable child restraint and vehicle instructions. Evenflo child restraints used in booster mode may be secured with an inflatable seat belt. Evenflo continues to evaluate inflatable seat belt compatibility and will update recommendations and revise statements as new data becomes available.
Center installation in a nonstandard LATCH position is allowed. The child restraint may be installed using the inner lower anchor bars of the outboard seating position if allowed by the vehicle manufacturer and the bars are spaced 11 to 20 inches apart. For SureLatch installations, the lower anchor connectors must not contact or interfere with vehicle buckle hardware. Permission also extends to child restraints used in belt-positioning booster mode, as long as the fit of the vehicle seat belt is not affected.
The use of tethers and lower anchor attachments is permitted as long as the position of the belt positioning booster seat in the vehicle and/or the resulting fit of the seat belt over the child are not affected. This is retroactive for all Evenflo belt positioning boosters.

Evenflo’s patented no rethread harness is Infinite Slide™. The term Infinite Slide™ came from the features ability to slide up and down a fixed track enabling parents to adjust the car seats internal harness height at the appropriate place for their child quick and easily. It provides an easy, safe, accurate fit and eliminates the need for rethreading.
Evenflo designed this feature to make getting the child in and out of the car seat easier than ever before. Buckle pockets prevent the internal harness from getting stuck underneath the child when placing them in the car seat, as well as, keeps the internal harness out of the way when removing the child from the vehicle seat. It also protects children against hot buckle tongues exposed to the sun for extended periods of time.
Evenflo has incorporated SensorSafe™ Technology, which includes a smart chest clip and wireless receiver that alert the driver when a baby is in the car. Simply plug the receiver into the OBD port in your vehicle and buckle your child into the car seat. Within 30 seconds of driving at least 5 mph (or faster) the receiver and chest clip auto-sync to communicate with the driver. The receiver reminds the driver of baby on board when the vehicle ignition is turned off. The receiver also notifies the driver if the chest clip is unbuckled during transit.
TensionRight® quickly and easily tightens the harness by turning the knob on the side of the car seat.
OUTLAST® Performance Fabric absorbs hot and cold temperature, releasing as needed. Balancing your child’s body temperature for a safer, more peaceful ride.
